Help changing lives with Castle Walk Road Race
Participants in this year’s Castle Walk Road Race on Women’s Day stand a chance to win a hefty hamper.
The upcoming annual Castle Walk Shopping Centre road race has an added purpose this year.
The event will be incorporated with a charity awareness campaign for the first time.
South Africa has an extensive non-governmental sector which does amazing work to support and uplift society.
There are about 100 000 registered and an estimated 50 000 unregistered non-profit organisations (NPOs).
This large non-profit sector is the product of a diverse society.
It plays a vital part in assisting the government to fulfil its constitutional mandate, hence the dire need to assist all those barely surviving NGO’s with the amazing work they are doing.
Fusion Sports has decided to use the annual Castle Walk Shopping Centre road race event as a vehicle for charities.
The objective is to obtain public buy-in and as a platform for them to actively participate in providing financial relief for their causes.
Fusion Sports in conjunction with the management of the Castel Walk shopping centre has been successfully hosting the road race in Pretoria for nine years.
Ths added purpose this year seeks to allow active NGOs to create awareness and in so doing, expand their database.
Fusion Sports invited compassionate individuals, small businesses and organisations to take part and invest in caring for disadvantaged children, elderly and disabled, and suffering animals in our community.
The annual Castle Walk Road Race will take place at the Castle Walk shopping centre on Tuesday, 9 August 2016.
This is an investment into local charity organisations that support people and families affected by poverty.
The organisers appeal to the public to open their hearts and support this project and to be thankful for every day that we are blessed with good health, and basic needs.
