Futurelife gives SPAR Women’s Challenge ladies a training boost

SPAR and Futurelife are providing all the info you need on how to eat smart while you are training.

The SPAR Women’s Challenge race is inching closer and ladies all over Pretoria are upping their training regime to be race ready by 3 September 2016.

To make sure that everyone is making the most of their training regime, SPAR called in one of their long standing race sponsors, Futurelife, to give all the race participants some help with their nutrition plan.

Posted weekly on the SPAR Women’s Challenge Facebook page, Futurelife nutritionist Megan Lee is providing all the info you need on how to eat as smart as you train – this could be the secret weapon you need to beat your performance of last year.

David Sweidan, General Manager of Business & Marketing at Futurelife says that Futurelife aligns with the SPAR Women’s Challenge year after year because the event allows them to engage with the consumers who made their brand what it is today.

“The Spar Women’s Challenge is not your average race. They focus on giving back into the community which aligns perfectly with our core business values. We are grateful for being able to be a part of this race each and every year as they continue to reinvent themselves with incredible themes each year. We view this relationship as much more than a sponsorship, we see ourselves as a partner to what their vision is for the race and we look forward to many more years of being involved with them,” says Sweidan.

Futurelife’s business motto is ‘He who has health has hope and he who has hope, has everything’ – which makes them a great fit for the race and the perfect source of information for race ready nutritional info.

“We absolutely agree that everyone should place proper nutrition as a high priority. This strong belief has lead us to employ a team of dieticians to educate consumers on what healthy nutritional choices are,” Sweiden explains.

Commenting on the 2016 race theme, gratitude, Sweiden says he believes that we must lose sight of the ways that we are all blessed in spite of what might be going on around us.

“We are a proudly South African company and with everything that has been going on lately in the country we encourage each and every person to be grateful for what we are blessed with. As South Africans we need to embrace one another and share in the spirit of the resilience we have always had to overcome challenges. Join us as we continue to strive to make a difference through events such as the SPAR Women’s Challenge and thank you for your support.”
