Golf agency create opportunities for the underprivileged
The Mohale Golf Agency will host their fundraising golf day at the Pretoria Golf Club situated in Pretoria West on 3 November.
A young golf enthusiasts of Pretoria has it made his way of life to use this popular sport to uplift young people in his community.
Tetelo Seseni from Atteridgeville has a dream to empower young people in his community to believe that they can succeed in anything they are passionate about. To achieve this dream, he uses golf and therefore he established the Mohale Golf Agency.
While 26 year old Seseni enjoys golf as a hobby, he also approaches it as his dream job. He is a keen amateur golfer with ambitions to play on the Sunshine Tour in the near future. Throughout his 13 years as a golfer, he gained vast experience and knowledge of the golfing industry whilst also attaining sports coaching and administration, as well as a PGA Level 1 coach certification.
Seseni is also a committee member of Callies Social Golf Club and plays the role of being a deputy PRO and also assists South African Golf Development Board with their Long Term Athlete Development program for junior golfers in the Philip Nel Park vicinity.
“My mission is simple and that is to give the youth and young adults an opportunity that I had earlier in my golfing career,” said Seseni.
Mohale Golf Agency was founded in 2016 in the spirit of teaching and promoting the sport of golf to the youth in the surrounding areas of Pretoria. Within a year, the agency has remarkably reached a growing number of over 70 children with its junior golf development program. The development agency specializes in golf training solutions and consultation. It also provides high quality golf event management services for golf days, golf clinics and golf tournaments.
Through various contributions from sponsors the agency has been able to achieve a sustainable junior golf development programme, which provides free golf training to the youth who live in and around the Pretoria West area.
On 3 November Mohale Golf Agency will present a golf day at the Pretoria Golf Club to raise funds for their projects. This funds will be used to cover the agency’s expenses in respect of transport, equipment, membership fees etc.
Additionally to the action on the golf course there will also be a unique tournament for those who do not play golf, but are lovers of the 30 Seconds board game. This tournament will be played in the clubhouse on the same day.
Interested parties who want to get involved in any of these two projects, can contact Oonikho Zilwa on 082-214-8417 or send her an email at mohalegolf@gmail.com .
