Local rising star will fight at EFC 66 in Pretoria

One of Pretoria's most promising young MMA fighters, Quaid Openshaw, will be given the opportunity to fight in front his home crowd at EFC 66 in Menlyn on December 16.

The final EFC event of 2017 (EFC 66) is all but fully scheduled, with the addition of the middleweight bout between DRC’s Mark Kamba and Pretoria’s own Quaid Openshaw to the prelim card.

Openshaw lives and trains in Pretoria at FitPit Gym. He will be fighting in his home city for the first time – setting up a momentous homecoming.

On his last outing Openshaw showed his herculean knock-out power and accuracy with his finish over a highly touted newcomer.

Kamba hails from the DRC, but lives in Cape Town. He trains out of Top Primate. A formidable warrior he brings an aggressive fight, favouring big right hands and left hooks.

Both men are renowned for guns blazing performances, setting up a bruising bout on December 16.

This fight takes place on the prelim card ahead of the five fight main card headlined by bantamweight unification fight and TF1 Finale.

EFC 66 will take place on Saturday 16 December at Time Square, Menlyn Maine in Pretoria. Tickets are on sale soon at Computicket. For more information, visit efcworldwide.com or facebook.com/EFCworldwide.
