Bulls flank and substitute captain leave Loftus Versfeld
After only one year's association with the Bulls, loose forward Nizaam Carr, who was also one of the leaders at Loftus Versfeld, decided to return to England, where he used to play club rugby with great success.
Springbok flank Nizaam Carr has decided to return to the English club Wasps, where he spent two seasons in 2018 and 2019, after only one year with the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld.
The Bulls confirmed last week that Nizaam Carr will be leaving Loftus at the end of July and heading back to his former club in England.
In addition to proving himself as a very dedicated player in the year he was attached to the Bulls, Carr’s leadership qualities also came in handy. He led the Bulls several times in the absence of other leaders such as Duane Vermeulen and Arno Botha.
Carr has established himself as an uncompromising and hard as nails loose forward. Before his original move to England, the 30-year-old former Bishops Diocesan College scholar played in the colours of the Stormers, where he represented the franchise at almost every level.
He also played in five test matches for the Springboks.
