Win tickets to see the much-anticipated Hateful Eight

Win tickets to see Quentin Tarantino's latest creation.

Hateful Eight is a new highly-anticipated film from acclaimed director Quentin Tarantino, best known for cult classics such as Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill and Inglorious Basterds (yes, that’s how it’s spelled by Tarantino).

The film starts showing at Nu Metro Menlyn Park and other select Nu Metro cinemas nationwide from Thursday, 28 January.

It is Tarantino’s eighth film and presents his larger-than-life take on the Western genre.

It features an all-star cast including a few Tarantino-regulars and other stand-out names such as Samuel L Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen and Hollywood veteran Bruce Dern.

The film presents breath-taking cinematography, off-the-beaten-track characters, almost-theatrical action to make you sit up and take note, and a script destined to pack a serious punch for Tarantino-fans everywhere.

It mixes elements of comedy, thriller, mystery, drama and the Western genre seamlessly.

After the end of the American Civil War, a stagecoach hurtles through the wintry Wyoming landscape. Bounty hunter John Ruth and his captured fugitive, Daisy Domergue, race toward the town of Red Rock, where Ruth intends to bring Domergue to justice.

Along the road, they encounter Major Marquis Warren, a former Union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix, a renegade who claims to be the town’s new Sheriff.

Losing their lead on the blizzard, Ruth, Domergue, Warren and Mannix seek refuge at Minnie’s Haberdashery, a stagecoach stopover.

When they arrive, they are greeted by four unfamiliar faces: Bob, who takes care of Minnie’s in the owner’s absence; Oswaldo Mobray, the hangman of Red Rock; cow-puncher Joe Gage; and Confederate General Sanford Smithers.

As the storm overtakes the mountainside, our eight travellers come to learn they may not make it to Red Rock after all.

This film has an age restriction of 18, it contains extreme scenes of violence and language.
