Jan Blohm is coming to town. Do not miss out on an opportunity to see this musical marvel live in concert.

Popular South African singer, songwriter and poet Jan Blohm is set to rock the stage at the Carousel this February. The 39-year-old Kroonstad-born singer will perform on the Cheyenne saloon stage at 21:00 on 23 February.
Blohm, born George Harry Kymdell, started music and piano lessons at the tender age of seven.
On completion of his school career, he decided to join the air force.
Here he received training in radio broadcasting and also became a seasoned, self-taught guitarist.
His love and passion for music has been evident throughout his life.
For five years after leaving the air force, this blues and rock artist was a member of the Demigods, Ledd Eye and Duin 7 rock bands.
In 2003, Blohm decided to start doing solo performances, concentrating on Afrikaans music with a unique poetic touch.
His debut album, Melkstraat Confessions, was released in 2004.
Blohm is a huge fan of Breyten Breytenbach, whose alias is Jan Blom, and says he is inspired by Blom as an artist.
With an extensive list of awards to his name, including a SAMA for the best Afrikaans DVD as well as three GMT (Geraas music award) awards for album of the year, song of the year and best new artist of the year, it is clear that Blohm and his music are well-received and loved by Afrikaans music lovers.
Blohm’s band, Die Blohm Orkes, won a Tempo award for best rock group in 2005 and 2006.
In 2005, Blohm played a lead role in the Afrikaans drama series Dit wat Stom Is on KykNET and M-Net.
He also wrote and produced the title song for this series called “Dromer”, which fans can look forward to hearing at his Cheyenne saloon show.
His second album, ’n Stille Runaway, was completely self-composed and released in 2005.
Breyten se Brief, Groen Trui, Rooiwyn en Mary-Jane and many other rocking favourites from this and other albums can be anticipated by adoring fans.
