WONDERboom frontman to perform in Centurion this weekend

WONDERboom frontman Cito is set to perform for free at a concert in Centurion this weekend.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Cito moved to South Africa in his teens.
He is best known for being the frontman for one of South Africa’s longest existing rock bands, namely WONDERboom, which is celebrating its 22nd anniversary and still going strong.
Headlining festivals and releasing chart-topping hits, WONDERboom’s local fan base grew.

WONDERboom has been nominated for Best Rock Album at the SAMA awards five times. In 2004, WONDERboom won best South African rock band in the global Battle of the Bands and also went on to win second Best Rock Band in the World at the finals in London. WONDERboom has released eight studio albums and currently in studio recording its latest album.
In 2004, Cito formed an acoustic side project titled Absinthè with Sugardrive frontman Paul E Flynn.
November 2012 saw the launch of another side project, already proving very successful, namely El Cantante (‘The singer’ in Spanish).
Here Cito goes back to his Puerto Rican roots and sings in his mother tongue of Spanish, with the legendary guitarist Martin Rocka on guitar – desperado style.

Cito is currently working on his first solo album in collaboration with Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter/producer, Erin Alden with plans to release it in the near future.
