Fans demand Afrikaans music show not to end
“Musiek Soos Grond, Afrikaans music show makes one escape the world of reality into an imaginary world where everything is adorable and perfect,” says music enthusiast.

Hundreds of Afrikaans music enthusiasts braved the evening weather to enjoy the Musiek Soos Grond (Music Like Earth) concert at the Big Red Barn in Centurion on Saturday.
The three-hour event, which was taking place for the first time in Pretoria, finished over 30 minutes later than scheduled as fans chanted encores every time the show ended.
The spectators wanted to continue listening to a great live musical performance and spend more memorable moments with their loved ones at a picnic setup under the sky.

One fan, Johan Jansen van Vuuren, praised the artists for their stunning performance.
“Being at this event is an amazing experience,” Jansen van Vuuren said.
The show made him “escape the world of reality into an imaginary world where everything is adorable and perfect”.
It was no surprise that the 23-piece band music performance, referred to as Musiek Soos Grond in Afrikaans, was a success in Pretoria as it consists of only talented artists such as Joshua na die Reën, Lizandra Winter, Kaleidoskoop and Leon Gropp, among others.
These artists and others have formed a new Afrikaans music forum that encourages artists to work together and give music fans the best, thanks to Joshua na die Reën and Rupert van Vuuren.

In a statement issued last Friday, the Musiek Soos Grond forum said Joshua na die Reën had dreamed about the idea for more than five years before Van Vuuren came on board and assisted in making it a reality.
Lizandra Winter said a series of Musiek Soos Grond shows had begun in Bloemfontein the previous week before coming to Pretoria.
“The next shows will be in Cape Town and Nelspruit respectively,” she said.
Winter said the show was likely to come back in Pretoria before the end of the year due to popular demand.
