Young Maragon swimmer seizes the day

Joshua Gouws, a grade 7 Maragon learner, decided to let nothing stand in his way. After the disappointment of this year’s cancellation of the Midmar Mile, he chose to find a solution. He swam his own virtual mile at the Cradle Moon Dam in Krugersdorp and finished the event in 32 minutes and 44 seconds.

After the disappointment of this year’s cancellation of the Midmar Mile, he chose to find a solution.

He swam his own virtual mile at the Cradle Moon Dam in Krugersdorp and finished the event in 32 minutes and 44 seconds.

He is such an inspiration to the school and showed his fellow learners that any obstacle can be used as an opportunity, the school said.
