6 Sekhukhune rugby teams in brand new sponsored jerseys

POLOKWANE – Rugby development for schools in Sekhukhune received a boost last week when Toshiba Limpopo stepped up to the plate and sponsored rugby jerseys for six teams.
“Toshiba Limpopo has a longstanding relationship with Blue Bulls development rugby and are proud to be associated with the union and the programs they run,” said Peggy Nonyane, Toshiba Limpopo, sales executive.
Josphat Moloto, manager at the Blue Bulls Rugby Union (BBRU), explained that they have worked on developing six teams from communities in Sekhukhune.
“We are have been busy for the last five years and currently have two girls’ teams, u/16 and u/18, and four boys’ teams that we coach,” said Moloto.
“I’ve seen the development and the interest in the sport growing under the youngsters,” he said.
He added that the teams have competed in municipal, schools and sponsored tournaments and that three of their players were selected to play in inter provincial tournaments this year.
He added that this much needed boost from Toshiba would benefit all of the rugby players.
