Dressing up is fun for these ‘flowers’

Hadashah Lear-ning Centre celebrated Casual Day in style on Friday.

“This year’s theme was flower expo, and we encouraged lear-ners to wear floral clothing and awarded the best dresssed lear-ners,” said Anuska Voges, office administrator of Hadashah.

Voges said there were also cakes on sale as part of a fundraising effort. “The money raised will be used to buy resources that the school needs,” she said.

Learners wore their official Casual Day stickers along with their floral clothes.

Katlego Chuene, who was named the best dressed learner in the junior learning centre said Casual Day was an important day and should be celebrated.”When the teachers told us to wear floral clothes, I knew I was going to wear my favourite dress,” she said.

The best dressed learner in the senior learning centre was Boitumelo Moifo.

“Hadashah is a Christian and Bible-based school. Casual Day is celebrated under a different theme every year and this year’s theme is the best,” said Boitumelo.
