Madiba grandson to lobby for the ANC with Mbalula

Mandla Mandela, the grandson of the former ANC president, Nelson Mandela, and the minister of sport, Fikile Mbalula, will visit Polokwane and Seshego tomorrow (Friday) as part of the Nelson Mandela voters' volunteer registration campaign.

POLOKWANE – Mandla Mandela, the grandson of the former ANC president, Nelson Mandela, and the minister of sport, Fikile Mbalula, will visit Polokwane and Seshego tomorrow (Friday) as part of the Nelson Mandela voters’ volunteer registration campaign.

The day’s itinerary will include a meeting with young professionals at the Fusion Boutique Hotel in Polokwane, visits to several schools in the Peter Mokaba region and the annual Nelson Mandela lecture at the Ngoako Ramatlhodi sports complex in Seshego.

Spokesperson for the ANC Youth League provincial task team (PTT), Onica Moloi, says Mandela and Mbalula’s visit is part of their quest to mobilise young people to register as voters for the coming elections.

This weekend will be the last opportunity for residents to register to vote.

Moloi says Mbalula and Mandela will be joined by the premier, Stanley Mathabatha, PTT members, MECs, traditional leaders and leaders of the PAC.

“Young people from across the province are expected to flock to Seshego for this event,” she says.
