Manyike’s accomplice, Moses Mahasha, was found guilty of common robbery, house breaking and theft, as well as an unrelated case of possession of suspected stolen goods.

The court heard that the two men entered the victim’s room after breaking the window.

They demanded money, which she handed to them.

After they realised that she knew them, Manyike strangled Mtileni to death.

The sentences will run concurrently.
