A RESIDENT of Mokopane extension 19, Leon Boshoff, was admitted to the Mokopane Hospital after he was stabbed in the shoulder and injured by thugs who broke into his RDP house on Saturday night.

MOKPANE – A RESIDENT of Mokopane extension 19, Leon Boshoff, was admitted to the Mokopane Hospital after he was stabbed in the shoulder and injured by thugs who broke into his RDP house on Saturday night.

The robbers stole his plasma TV, computer, cell phones, and laptop. Boshoff’s friend, Herry Lebelo, said it was not the first time that thugs broke into his friend’s house.

Annette Smith, a relative of the injured Boshoff, said the thieves also looted his wallet that held bankcards, driver’s license, and money. She said Boshoff was a graphic designer and it would be difficult for him to to his job without his computer system.

“He is recovering in the Mokopane Hospital. What is also giving me sleepless nights is that he is a type 1 diabetic, which could complicate his recovery,” Smith Said.

Lebelo said Boshoff had opened a case at the Mokopane police station but no arrests had been made yet.

“Anyone who comes forward with information that leads to the arrest of the perpetrators will receive a reward of R1 000,” Lebelo said.

Provincial police spokesperson, Hangwani Mulaudzi, said the police were investigating the case and the perpetrators would be brought to book. He asked anyone with information to contact the nearest police station.
