POLOKWANE – No one has yet been arrested after the attack on the Bates family on a Tweefontein small holding last week. On Tuesday, Review ran the story of how a man was shot dead during the robbery of the Bates family, Sean (19) and his mother, Sandra.

Police received a phone call at about 03:30 on April 9. On arrival, they found the house had been broken into and a man’s body was found in the garden.

Police are investigation a case of robbery and an inquest was opened.

Polokwane police spokesperson Capt Ntobeng Phala said police appeal to the community to come forward with information.

Justin Bates is still recovering from his injuries. He told Review that they were planning on moving from the house.
