ESKOM POWER ALERT: stage 1 load shedding

POLOKWANE – According to Eskom, load shedding stage 1 will be implemented today (Thursday) from 08:00-14:00 then move to stage 2 from 14:00-22:00

Areas to be load shed are:

08:00-10:00

B8 AREAS: CBD, between Thabo Mbeki and Excelsior Streets and between Dahl and Biccard Streets.

10:00-12:00

B9 AREAS: Superbia, Westenburg, Nirvana, Between Mark and Onder Streets and between Grobler and Excelsior Streets, Indian Centre and Pick a Pay Centre.

12:00-14:00

B10 AREAS: Seshego Zone 8, Zone 4, Zone 1, Zone 5, Madibapark and Hospital View.

14:00-16:00

B11 AREAS: Seshego Zone 6, Bikopark, Zone 3 and 4 and College.

16:00-18:00

B12 AREAS: Voortekkerpark between Voortrekker and Webster Streets and between Suid and Rissik Streets, Ivypark Ext. 34 and Meropa Casino.

18:00-20:00

B13 AREAS: Peninapark, Silicon Line, CBD between Suid and Thabo Mbeki Streets and between Biccard and Dahl Streets.

20:00-22:00

B14 AREAS: Flora and Faunapark West of McDonald Street and Eersteling Eskom feeder.

Eskom assures all customers that load shedding is done as a last resort, when absolutely necessary to protect the power system. Any unexpected change on the constrained and vulnerable power system will lead to a change in the stage of load shedding.
