Musina arsonists out on R5000 bail

MUSINA – 17 suspects involved in the torching of a pastors house,  appeared before the Musina magistrate’s court this morning (Thursday) on charges of violence, arson and malicious damage to property.

According to police spokesperson, col Ronel Otto, the court released four minors (aged between 15- and 16 years) into the custody of their parents. Five suspects were granted bail of R1 000 each.

The Zimbabwean nationals involved in the attack, remain in custody as they are considered to be a flight risk. Their passports and places of residence still had to be verified.

The suspects will appear before Musina magistrate’s court on the 27 May 2015.

“The 70-year-old pastor, his wife and daughter were rescued by the police and they are now refugees at the Musina Place of Safety.

During the rescue, two police vans were damaged by rioters and three police officers were injured,” said Otto.

The pastor confessed On the TV  channel of the Gauteng church that there were tWO groups of witches and he was in group-A. His daughter also confessed that she had inherited the spirit of witchcraft from her father and Satanism from the other learners in the Musina High School.
