Limpopo man accused of murdering his 19-year-old daughter was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Sekgosese Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

LIMPOPO – Limpopo man accused of murdering his 19-year-old daughter was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Sekgosese Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

According to Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Ronel Otto, Mashapa Mokhithi, 37, of Mamaila Village hit his daughter with a crowbar on the back of the head. She was certified dead on the scene by paramedics, Letaba Herald reported.

Otto said the police appreciated the cooperation received from the community and the family during the investigations.

Provincial commissioner Lieutenant General Fannie Masemola applauded the sentencing and commended the thorough investigations police members conduct during their investigations.
