POLOKWANE – According to municipal spokesperson, Tidimalo Chuene, a burst pipe in Potgieter Avenue was the reason for water shortage in various areas of the city yesterday.
The areas that were affected were Welgelegen, Bendor, Eduan Park.
The pipe was repaired at around 05:00 this morning and since then water has been restored to all affected areas.
“The repair process took time due to tree roots, allocation of valves and the challenge of material to be used for repairs,” says Chuene.
Residents still experiencing shortage can contact Water and Sanitation Unit on 015 290 2376.
