Makhado bomb threat hoax

Members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) explosives unit confirmed that there was a bomb threat at the Makhado municipality at 12:30 this afternoon, but there was no bomb.

LOUIS TRICHARDT – Members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) explosives unit confirmed that there was a bomb threat at the Makhado municipality at 12:30 this afternoon, but there was no bomb.

Col Ronel Otto, a provincial police spokesperson, said that an unknown man called the municipality and claimed that he planted a bomb at the municipality, which was about to explode.

All emergency services were at the scene after the incident was reported to the police.
