The soft lighting, sophisticated background music and beautiful displays sent a compelling message as soon as the doors opened; this would be no ordinary night.
The staff at Makro Polokwane Liquor Store transformed the isles of this wholesale retailer into a cosy sanctuary where patrons could sample the finest premium brands that Makro has to offer.
Wholesale and retail customers were invited to taste fine wines, whiskeys, brandies, beers and wine coolers available at Makro Polokwane, while representatives of 12 supply companies showcased their most excellent premium brands on offer.
The representatives were also very keen to explain the finer points of various liquors to the guests at this classy event.
It was a fun and informative evening where Makro staff got to know their customers a little better in terms of their preferences and whiskey and wine connoisseurs had the opportunity to add to their expert knowledge on the various wine and whiskeys on display.
Beautiful models were used to promote certain brands and these lovely women definitely lent a sense of flair and grace to the evening.
Mamorwadi Mokaba, Marketing Manager of Makro Polokwane, and her team greeted all their guests at the door and did everything in their power to make these customers feel at home.
Judging from the comments of the guests, they thoroughly enjoyed the evening and most quickly found new favourites once they started to taste the liquor on offer.
Makro also made use of this event to put their in-house whiskeys, the James King collection, in the spotlight.
Like most things in life the proof of the pudding was in the taste, because even the most sceptic aficionados had to agree that the James King whiskeys were really something to write home about.
Mokaba said the evening was a major success. “It was a night for kings here at Makro Polokwane.”
