Muzo’s double African celebration

LIMPOPO – LIMPOPO act, Muzo Brothers comprising of Mahlatse “Vokal” Matjie and Barcoss “Muzo” Makgale recently celebrated Mahlatse’s birthday, as well as his recent award at the Fame Awards for his solo project.
He won in the best newcomer category.
Mahlatse expressed delight that he turned a year older and was grateful to win the award.
The event was held at Millionnaires Restaurant in Polokwane and was graced by artists, designers and other influential people in the entertainment industry.
Mahlatse also officially launched his current single, Follow, which was well received.
The music video will be shot at the end of July, with the full album release set for the end of September.
After the cutting of the cake, artists such as Manana, Mohlagase, Sly Mo, Arthur Songs, Blackqueen Mogau, Mulo Blaque, as well as Muzo Brothers performed songs which complemented the “African in Winter” theme as tribute to Mahlatse.
As the Muzo Brothers’ brand has become synonymous with stylish fashion, the elated Mahlatse explained that he now endorsed sunglass brand, Keith Alexandra.
Showing support was Mahlatse’s manager, Sakhele Mzalazala from Yourself Music, A-Team, which works with Muzo Brothers and Mash n Brelle, a DJ duo which incorporates live instruments such as the marimba as part of their act. They are signed to the Muzo Brothers.
The Muzo Brothers were delighted to announce that actress, Gabisile Legodi, also known as Gabisile Tshabalala, together with the hard working actor, Fumani Shilubana, who has appeared on Generations and Isidingo and many movies on DSTV’s Mzansi Magic, will be featured on their Prayer for Africa music video for their latest project as a group.
Seasoned industry players such as Mzwakhe Mbuli, Seputla Sebogodi, as well as other artists from other parts of Africa will be part of the project as well.
Muzo Brothers are very busy promoting their brand outside the province.
“We don’t need to just remain comfortable in our own province. People need to know out there who the Muzo Brothers are,” said Barcoss.
“If you say to yourself: ‘I’ve got talent’, can you now take time sharpening that talent? As much as you have the strength, take time to sharpen your axe.”
