POLOKWANE – According to Eskom, load shedding stage 2 will be implemented today (Saturday) from 08:00-22:00.

Areas to be load shed

08:00-10:00

Block 8 Area Sterpark, Silverkruin, Bendor Village, McDonald Centre, between Thabo Mbeki & Grobler Streets, between Gemini & Gazelle Streets, SA Breweries, Magnavia and Koppiesfontein.

10:00-12:00

Block 9 Area Cycad Centre, Cycad, Welgelegen, Woodhill, Celtic Lodge, Celtic Medows and Coke.

12:00-14:00

Block 10 Area Bendor, Bendor Centre, Woodlands and Mall of the North.

14:00-16:00

Block 11 Area Peninapark, CBD between Suid & Thabo Mbeki Streets and between Biccard & Dahl Streets.

16:00-18:00

Block 12 Area Florapark & Faunapark West of McDonald Street, Golf Club, Edupark, all other sports clubs in the area of the Cricket Club and both Staduims.

18:00-20:00

Block 13 Area Voortekkerpark between Voortrekker & Webster Streets, between Suid & Rissik Streets, Ivypark, Ivypark Ext. 34, Ivydale Plots and Meropa Casino.

20:00-22

Block 14 Area Seshego Zone 8, Zone 5, Zone 4, Zone 2, Madibapark, Hospital View, Ext 73 and Zone 1 Ext.

Eskom assures all customers that load shedding is done as a last resort, when absolutely necessary to protect the power system. Any unexpected change on the constrained and vulnerable power system will lead to a change in the stage of load shedding.
