Phalaborwa gate inaccessible until further notice

Guests of Kruger National Park have been informed to use alternative gates when visiting the Kruger National Park due to the protests in the area.

LIMPOPO – Guests of Kruger National Park have been informed to use alternative gates when visiting the Kruger National Park due to protests in the area.

According to a media alert, the Phalaborwa gate is currently inaccessible due to the protests on the R71 access road (leading to Phalaborwa gate) in the Ba-Phalaborwa area.

Guests are been advised to use alternative gates such as Orpen or Punda Maria to access and exit Kruger National Park until further notice.

The protests which started on August 2 have so far resulted in some vehicles burnt, schools and businesses affected and temporarily closed.
