Alleged drug-dealers exposed

THE members of the Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) in Mahwelereng arrested two suspects for the possession of drugs on Monday morning.

MOKOPANE- THE members of the Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) in Mahwelereng arrested two suspects for the possession of drugs on Monday morning.

Mahwelereng police spokesperson, Const Sello Leso said Samuel Khumalo and Arthur Motsoko were arrested for possession of mandrax, cocaine, heroine and nyaope estimated to be worth R16 000 on the street. Cellphones and cash were also confiscated.

The CPU team, lead by Sgt Polly Bohlolo and Sgt Johannes Madubanya were conducting a thorough investigation with regard to the possession of the drugs.

“We want to get these criminals off our streets.

“We need to protect the youth from drug addiction,” Leso said.

The suspects were due to appear before the Mokerong magistrate’s court on charges of possession of drugs shortly, Leso said.
