Meet the new Faces of Turf

The Face of Turf beauty pageant was held at the Mankweng community hall on 3 October

POLOKWANE – The Face of Turf beauty pageant was held at the Mankweng community hall on 3 October.

Percia Maahlo was announced as the winner in the pro-category.

Khomotjo Kgopa was crowned the Face of Turf Novice queen, while Kabelo Molapo emerged the winner and was crowned Face of Turf Pro King.

“I am honoured to be the Queen of Turf and I am going to start with charity work in my community where I will donate food parcels and clothes, among other things,” Maahlo said.

Molapo said he ventured into modelling when, due to a car accident, he was no longer able to take part in action sport. He added he wanted to be a role model to children and use his title to assist the needy.

Pro queen:
• Boikano Sewele – first princess.
• Tshegofatso Mamabolo – second princess.

Novice queen:
• Tshepo Ramakgwakgwa – first princess.
• Mokgaetji Macheke – second princess.

Pro king:
• Lebogang Madibana – first prince.
• Samuel Lemao – second prince.

Special awards:
• Nthabiseng Mogaswa – beauty with purpose and Miss Public Choice.
• Fortunate Setwaba – best businesswoman.
• Molatelo Mothiba – most cooperative woman.
• Mpho Mafogo – Mr Public Choice.
