Louis Trichardt residents can now cool off in the town pool

"The swimming pool is open and ready for use," said Louis Bobodi, spokesperson for the Makhado Municipality.

LOUIS TRICHARDT – The swimming pool opened for residents on 1 October.

“The swimming pool is open and ready for use,” said Louis Bobodi, spokesperson for the Makhado Municipality.

On 20 May last year, David Mutavhatsindi, Makhado Mayor, opened the construction of the town’s swimming pool.

Construction should have been completed by 30 June this year, but with several problems it took much longer.

Johannes Kanwendo, Makhado Municipality community services director, said: “This is a R496 000 project, we wanted to make sure that all the machines were working for the swimming pool. We have also taken the shortage of water into consideration and therefore decided that a borehole is needed as well as water tanks to make sure water will not be a problem.”

Review visited the swimming pool on Monday… the swimming pool is clean and full of water.
