Jaguar Landrover Volvo and MGM Motors Polokwane invited valued clients and potential buyers to a special screening of the new James Bond film, Spectre, last Tuesday.
Dealer Principal Francois Heystek first welcomed the 111 guests at a restaurant near the cinema where they were treated to some pre-movie snacks and soft drinks. This gathering also served as an excellent networking and social opportunity where guests received their complimentary tickets.
After an enjoyable hour, the group made their way to the cinema where they were once again treated like royalty. Each guest received a complimentary popcorn, sweet and cold drink before they made their way into the cinema to enjoy 007’s heroics.
Heystek explained that they chose this innovative way of reaching out to clients because the Jaguar C-X75 features in a spectacular car chase in the latest Bond film.
The C-X75 is an all-wheel drive, plug-in parallel hybrid electric vehicle with the world’s highest specific power engine and Jaguar’s first carbon composite monocoque chassis. Monocoque is a structural engineering concept where loads are supported through an object’s external skin, close to how an egg shell supports its entire content. The technique is also known as structural skin in some engineering circles.
Although this concept car never entered full production due to the world economic climate, it is a powerful showcase for Jaguar’s world-leading expertise in lightweight vehicle construction and the ideal test-bed for the company’s innovative research into high-performance, low emission powertrains.
Evil henchman Mr Hinx uses the Jaguar C-X75 to pursue James Bond in a thrilling chase and moviegoers will be forgiven for thinking that Bond may be outpaced by the villain considering the ride. After all, the thrill is in the chase.
