POLOKWANE – The Capricorn High School matric class of 2015 achieved a pass rate of 90,6%.
The school excelled with a number of distinctions for various subjects.
The principal, Lucas Chuene, congratulated the learners and acknowledged it was the result of hard work from both the personnel and learners that the school could once again celebrate such a high pass rate.
The percentage decreased from last year’s pass rate of 92% with only 23 learners who failed.
These learners were encouraged to write a supplementary examination, which will be written in February and March.
Ntimela Nkuna passed with bachelor’s pass and said she is going to study law.
“I’m happy with my results. Hard work definitely does pay off,” she said.
The learners were extremely excited as they checked their matric statements outside the school office.
Most of them passed with bachelor’s passes. Some parents could not not contain their excitement when they saw their children’s results.
“Annually learners make us proud by obtaining very high percentages which gives the school a good name. I know this school has produced learners who are now holding high profile positions both in government and corporate companies.
“We as parents believe the school will continue to produce quality learners,” Maria Kekana, one of the parents, said.
