JCB Polokwane hosts blood drive

Management of Truck and Tractor Specialist Plant, better known as JCB Polokwane, invited their suppliers, clients and neighbours to help them save lives on Friday by donating blood at the blood drive that was held on their premises.
Agri Sales Representative André Jocks organised the blood drive in conjunction with the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) and said the company hosted mobile blood donation clinics from time to time because they wanted to contribute to the community.
Kholofelo Ratlala, Enrolled Nurse at the SANBS in Polokwane said every unit of blood made a difference in up to three people’s lives and businesses like JCB Polokwane helped boost blood supplies by generously hosting blood drives. She encouraged other businesses to follow suit. She said organisations, schools or businesses who wanted to host blood drives can contact SANBS Public Relations officer, Dottie Pinn on 015 283 3600.
By the time of going to print, information on the amount of blood donated at JCB on Friday was not available yet.
