POLOKWANE – Municipal Spokesperson, Matshidiso Mothapo has confirmed the municipality is encountering a challenge with their telephone system. This was after a Review journalist phoned the call centre and gave through the findings (see video above).

After several complaints on social media regarding the Polokwane Municipality not answering their telephones when calling the call centre at (015) 290 2000, Review investigated and found it took six minutes before one is helped.

He advised residents to call the municipal division dealing with the specific query directly.(see the numbers here)

According to Mothapo, if residents do not receive feedback on their enquiry within seven working days, they can report it to (015) 290 2036 or send an e-mail SuzanneM@polokwane.gov.za.

Review called these numbers. We can confirm they work and there is better response when each division is contacted directly.
