For speciality meat dishes and choice cuts, connoisseurs need look no further than the newly opened Bo Baas Meat Market, situated at South Gate Country Lodge and Business Centre on the R37 road, just 4 km outside Polokwane.
Owners Hermien Myburgh and Lood Luise opened Bo Baas Meat Market’s doors on Friday. Customers can buy delicious droëwors and biltong, perfectly cut meat and chicken as well as spices, side dishes and even sweet treats at Bo Baas. They have a range of gluten free pasta products and a myriad of sauces and marinades in stock.
The real attraction is Bo Baas’ speciality dishes like DC Thighs, deboned chicken thighs stuffed with cheddar and peppadews, and their very popular Devil’s Breasts, chicken fillets stuffed with mozzarella and kibbled onions and wrapped in bacon.

Store Manager, Erna Slement, says she is proud of the variety of products available at Bo Baas Meat Market.

Their Spiderman Steaks are a delectable treat with the aged steaks well spiced and wrapped in caul fat. Bo Baas Meat Market also offers a wide variety of beef, pork, lamb and chicken rolls, ready for the grill.
For that special dinner when only the best will do, Myburgh recommends their Rosemary Lamb Chops. “We marinate the lamb chops in macadamia oil, onion kibble and garlic flakes, adding coarse salt and pepper and fresh rosemary to give it that special flavour,” she says.
