Muni: public participation in development/budget meetings

The municipality encourages the involvement of the public and stakeholders in the 2016/17 draft Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget public participation meetings scheduled for April.

POLOKWANE – “Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 21 of the Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000 and Sections 22 and 23 of the Municipal Finance Management Act, Act 56 of 2003; that Polokwane Municipality invites members of the public and stakeholders to participate in 2016/17 draft Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget public participation meetings”

The meetings are scheduled for the following dates:

Community members are also invited to make comments and submissions into the Draft 2016/17 IDP/Budget from 01 April 2016 to 12 May 2016.

Written comments on the Draft IDP/Budget should be forwarded to either of the IDP offices 133, 304 and 305 at the Civic Center: corner Landros Mare & Bodenstein streets, Polokwane.

Copies of the draft IDP/Budget will be available for the public at the following areas for viewing:

Moletjie Library,Seshego library , City Library, Nirvana Library, Westernburg Library, Resource Center 2nd Floor (Civic Centre), Sebayeng Municipal Office, Mankweng Library , Molepo Tribal Office, Chuene Tribal Office, Maja Tribal Office. The draft IDP/Budget document can also be accessed through the municipal website: www.polokwane.gov.za.
