When Sterkloop Home and Garden was established by the De Jager family in 1991, their goal was to create a family destination where customers’ needs would be put first.
The centre that started as a small enterprise, soon transformed into a successful venture where residents of Polokwane could find all the products, plants, and advice they needed to turn their gardens into lush havens.
Voted Best Garden Centre in Limpopo since 2003, the nursery also received a National Gold Award from the South African Nursery Association in 2012.
The Sterkloop Home and Garden team are well known for their expertise to help customers establish their desired gardens, regardless of budget, theme and style.
In July 2015 Sterkloop Nursery came under new management and is now known as Sterkloop Express, although they are still part of the Garden Pavilion Group. The nursery’s products range from flowering shrubs, ornamental and fruit trees, indoor plants, organic compost, potting soil, water features, plant containers and a wide range of landscape accessories.

Sterkloop Express is a one-stop Garden Centre, situated on Church Street, South of the Polokwane city centre on the road to Lebowakgomo.
This centre stocks a wide range of gardening as well as hardware equipment and a wide variety of different plants for every season. Whether customers need a spade, hose pipe or swimming pool cleaning kit, this store has everything and should they not have something in stock, they will go out of their way to meet expectations.
The friendly and helpful sales assistants are always on hand with excellent advice on all questions regarding gardens.

A change is as good as a holiday and Marguerite Smit, stylist extraordinaire at Marguerite’s Hair in the Ballantino’s section of Sterkloop Express Garden Pavilion can take her clients to paradise using her skills with scissors, colouring and a hair dryer.
She specialises in both short and long hair and her clients include men, women and children.
Smit is a wizard when it comes to transforming hair from drab to fabulous using clever styling techniques and colour. The before and after photos on her Facebook page tell a story of lives changed for the better. She also specialises in perms and straightening hair.
This intrepid stylist only uses products of the highest quality from well known suppliers like Goldwell, Icon, and BioKinetic.
