Worker’s Day, 1 May 2016, will be marked with a thumping party, the 5FM Lot Party, featuring top South African DJs on the decks including DJ Fresh, DJ Euphonik, DJ Milkshake and Ms Cosmo.
The outdoor party will be staged on the Meropa Lawns at Meropa Casino and Entertainment World from 15:00 onwards. Tickets are on sale at Computicket for R50 per person. Entrance at the gate on the day will be R70 per person.
“What a coup to have some of South Africa’s best loved DJs will lead the 5FM Lot Party at Meropa to celebrate Worker’s Day. Fans are urged to book soon to avoid missing out,” says Meropa’s Public Relations and Promotions Manager, Raksha Gunpath.
From Miami to London and Toronto, to New York and Johannesburg, the internationally-acclaimed South African born and bred, DJ Euphonik, has gained a mass following of clubbing fans in five continents.
He’s served on the panel for the electronic music industry’s premier annual conference, ‘Miami Winter Conference’ and has opened for some of the biggest names in the electro music industry including Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, Afrojack, Skrillex, Louie Vega, Richie Hawtin, ATB and Markus Schulz.
DJ Fresh, real name Thato Sikwane, is one of South Africa’s most-sought after mix masters. He is credited with pioneering the house music rage engulfing Southern Africa.
His first four house albums, ‘Fresh House Flava’ are touted to have altered the house music landscape in South Africa for good, bringing the genre into the mainstream music scene.
During his career, he has shared the DJ’s booth with some of the world’s most famous DJs including Frankie Knuckles, Paul van Dyk, Oskido, Fat Boy Slim, Ready D, Chris Lake and Armand van Helden. People on dance floors in countries such as Miami, London, Moscow, Ibiza, Brisbane, Melbourne, Birmingham, Dubai and Montreal have danced to Fresh’s beats.
