Award winning comedian, David Kau will celebrate his birthday by doing what he does best, making his fans laugh. He will perform two outrageously funny stand-up shows at Meropa Casino and Entertainment World’s Conference Centre on 13 and 14 May.
Fans are urged to book their seats soon to avoid disappointment. Both shows will start at 20:00. Tickets can be purchased at Computicket and cost R150 per person.
“We are thrilled that one of South Africa’s most sought-after comedians has chosen to celebrate his birthday by treating local fans with two shows. We look forward to welcoming him to our stage and have no doubt his shows will sell out,” says Raksha Gunpath, the Public Relations and Promotions Manager at Meropa.
The funniest thing to come out of Kroonstad first burst onto the comedy scene in 1998 when he became the first black comedian ever to perform at the Smirnoff Comedy Festival in Cape Town. Since then he’s earned a solid following of fans and racked-up numerous plaudits for his effervescent wit and incisive social commentary.
Always current, seriously sharp and never shy, Kau has toured across the continent, starred on both big and small screens and kick-started the massively-successful, annual Blacks Only Comedy Festival.
