More than 1 000 women recently gathered at the Polokwane Dalmada congregation of Church on the Hill for the annual Women of Honour and Beauty Convention.
The special gathering was held over two days and women had the opportunity to be encouraged by the Word of God through speakers like Faith Ngwale from the Conquerors through Christ Ministries and Oefentse Lephoko, apostle and founder of the Women of Honour and Beauty Convention.
The theme of the conference was ‘Behold, He goes before you’, a text taken from Isaiah 45: 1 to 3. The speakers did not concentrate on spiritual growth alone, but also delved into real life issues that women encounter every day.
Portia Gumede, head of the Keni Foundation, spoke about how women could be successful partners, mothers and family members without losing their own unique identity.
Local pastor Molatelo Mashabane who hosted the event said the conference was an incredible time in the presence of God. “Women were empowered through the word of God and they were able to tackle issues that all women have to face in today’s society. We are proud to be the hosts of this convention,” she said.
According to Mashabane women from as far as Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Mbombela and Cape Town attended the event.
