The sky is NOT the limit for this young author
Neo Mamosatsana is one of those young women who does not let anything get in the way of what she wants
POLOKWANE – Mamosatsana, a Grade 9 learner at Noorderland High school who hails from Seshego Zone 1, has recently written and released a book called Hidden Treasure… a compilation of poems.
According to Mamosatsana she wrote the book to inspire the youth. “I wanted to inspire the youth and show them that the sky is not the limit. Nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it,” Mamosatsana explained.
Neo says when she finishes school she wants to become an actuarial scientist.
At the book launch, most of her teachers praised the young lady for always maintaining good grades and being a model student. Lou-Ann Lacey who is Neo’s Grade 9 teacher had this to say: “She has always been business-minded and a great learner and that is why she has a book out already. She is very ambitious and I am absolutely proud of her,” Lacey said.
Neo’s book is being sold for R100 and is available for order. According to Mamosatsana she also has plans of releasing a novel in the near future. Lehlogonolo Mogale from the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) said she applauds Neo for being as ambitious as she is at her age. “When I first met her I saw an ambitious young woman who has a vision and who knows what she wants to do with her life. I wanted to offer her support because as the NYDA we work with young people and assist them to hone their skills,” Mogale said.
