Feisty Mashudu keeps her listeners informed
Mashudu Malusele is the feisty 24-year-old newsreader on Limpopo's popular radio station, Energy FM.

POLOKWANE -She hails from Vondwe village just outside Thohoyandou and joined the station in October last year.
Mashudu studied human resource management at the Tshwane North College Pretoria Campus but she says fate led her to venture into media. Mashudu explains that her motivation comes from life itself. “I get excited at the prospect of being alive. I make a point of doing more than what is expected of me, I like to challenge myself,” she says. Although Mashudu loves her job, she says it come with its share of challenges. According to her, dealing with people from different backgrounds when doing interviews or covering a story always proves challenging.
She says she always has to remind herself why she chose her career and that serves as motivation for her to keep going.
Mashudu describes herself as a quiet person who is both multi-talented and good at writing. She believes that as a newsreader she has a big role to play in society. “My role is to provide the community with information.
“I also want to start a youth organisation in my community that will give them the opportunity to discuss their issues,” Mashudu explains.
She aspires to be a woman young girls look up to. She wants to be more than just a newsreader, she hopes to become a news editor and produce a current affairs programme.
