Power restored to parts of Waterberry and Eagle’s Crest areas

POLOKWANE – The power to some part of the Eagle’s Crest and Waterberry areas was reconnected at around 22:00 on Wednesday night.

“There are still sections that have not been reconnected and the generators will be supplied as a temporary measure while the fault on the underground cable is being located and fixed, says municipal spokesperson Matshidiso Mothapo.

Residents who are still without power are encouraged to report the issue to 0152900249/2457/2458 to get assistance.

“The municipality sincerely apologises for this inconvenience.”

POLOKWANE – The power to the Eagle’s Crest and Waterberry areas has still not yet been restored following damage to the supply line yesterday (Tuesday).

The latest report revealed  that there is serious damage to the line. “Four joints have to be made on two cables.”

Significant progress has been made and and it is expected that electricity will be restored throughout the day says municipal spokesperson Matshidiso Mothapo.

Residents and members of the public are advised to switch off electrical appliances and geysers to avoid damage when power is restored.

“All electrical wires should be treated as live.”

Polokwane Municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused by this service disruption.

POLOKWANE – Waterberry and Eagle’s Crest residents are without electricity following an accident on Tuesday where a line supplying electricity to the area was damaged.

“A contractor dug and ripped a line supplying power to the area explains municipal spokesperson Matshidiso.

“Due to the amount of repair work, electricity is expected to be restored to the affected areas by Wednesday morning,” says municipal spokesperson Matshidiso Mothapo.

Residents and members of the public are advised to switch off electrical appliances and geysers to avoid damage when power is restored.

“All electrical wires should be treated as live.”
