Mall of the North in conjunction with Brushed will on Saturday host a unique art workshop at the Edgars Court where seasoned and beginner artists can come together to create magic.
Two workshops, one at 10:00 and one at 14:00 will give artists the opportunity to learn new techniques and receive input from an independent art facilitator.
The workshops cost R150 per person per session and the price includes the canvas that participants can take home afterwards as well as an apron, paintbrushes and an easel to work on.
There will also be delicious muffins and coffee sponsored by Mugg & Bean Mall of the North. These sessions are for adults only, but amateurs are very welcome.
Brushed is a Johannesburg based studio that offers art workshops designed to teach the basics of acrylic painting in a fun way. “In a relaxed, cosy, social setting, you’ll be guided by an artist on basic acrylic painting. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created something new, and discovered something new about yourself,” says Kristin du Toit, owner of Brushed who will be facilitating the workshops at Mall of the North.
Du Toit is also a former resident of Polokwane and an avid landscape artist.
Mall of the North is giving away 10 tickets to the 14:00 session to thank loyal customers for their continued support. To win one of these coveted places at the workshop, SMS your name, surname and ID number to 072 634 7083 before 10:00 on Friday morning. Winners will be picked by lucky draw and notified on Friday.
Mari Delport, Marketing Manager at Mall of the North says she is very excited about bringing this enjoyable and inspiring opportunity to Polokwane. “I think people are going to have a lot of fun and learn more about acrylic painting techniques at the same time,” she says.
To book a place for either of the two workshops, simply send an email to events@mallofthenorth.co.za. There are limited seats available, so book now to avoid disappointment.
