Funeral arrangements for Betty Kennedy
A memorial service was held in memory of Betty Kennedy last night (Thursday).
POLOKWANE – Family and friends as well as parents and learners from Myngenoegen English Private School (Meps) attended the service.
The former Westenburg resident and founder of Meps died in the early hours of Tuesday morning after a long sickbed.
“My mother was in a lot of pain and it was torture to see her suffer like that. We know she is in a better place, free from pain and suffering,” said her daughter Barbra Losper.
Betty’s funeral will be tomorrow (Saturday) at Myngenoegen Plot 2. There will be a service at the house and from there the burial will be at Silicone Graveyard.
Tomorrow (Saturday) at 07:00 there will be a bus in Westenburg to transport residents from Westenburg to the plot for the funeral and back.
The pickup points will be at:

- Good Hope Primary School
- Westenburg Secondary School
- At the white tent at the entrance of RDP in Westenburg.
