POLOKWANE – This school’s outreach team consists of 32 dedicated learners who set out to serve the community at least once a week.
The mission is to serve others in a way that people can see the light of their Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, shine in their community. The aim is to lead people to God through servanthood.
This year, the team collected water and donated litres upon litres to needy households in the city that were heavily affected by the drought.
The team also visited a number of organisations in the city to donate essential items and spend time with children, these organisations include the Polokwane Provincial Hospital’s Children’s ward, the Myngenoegen Shelter, the Mosa Drop-In Centre in Ga Mothiba, Nobody; the Anglican Christ Church’s soup kitchen and the SPCA shop in Savannah Mall.
The group strives to bring positive change to the lives of people in the city and to bring people closer to God.
If you would like to get involved with the outreach team, you can contact the Eagle’s Nest outreach coordinator, Mariska Hyland at 072 532 0709.
