Come one, come all! Do not miss out on the Australian Circus Spectacular, known as the Aussie Circus that has been entertaining South Africans in cities all over South Africa this year.
Offering a night of escapism and positivity, the show has gained a devoted following across the country, with one family even travelling 400 km in one evening from the Karoo to Port Elizabeth just to see the spectacle.
Due to the show’s success, organisers Weber Bros Entertainment has decided to extend the South African tour and the Aussie Circus’ iconic white, yellow and purple tent village will be set up to show in the parking area at Mall of the North from tomorrow (Friday) to 9 October.
Circus lovers will be able to attend morning, afternoon or evening shows and tickets can be purchased online at Computicket, or in-store at Computicket outlets including Shoprite, Checkers and Checkers Hyper stores.
The cost of tickets is between R200 and R400 for adults, depending on seats, and R150 to R350 for children younger than 14 years as well as groups of ten or more. Infants seated on a parent’s lap do not require a ticket.
The show blends stunning cirque artistry and acrobatics on the ground and in the air with hilarious slapstick comedy, mysterious illusion and extreme stunts including FMX jumps beneath the Big Top circus tent, the splitting Globe of Death, a spherical cage in which four riders encircle each other and perform precarious tricks.
The Aussie Circus also boasts one of the world’s only surviving Human Cannonball acts, with the daredevil fired right over the heads of the audience.
