Mini Miss RSA finalist lends a helping hand

Sukoluhle Sibanda recently returned to South Africa after the Miss World Pageant with two international titles.

POLOKWANE – After starting her own charity project, Suu Projects, teen pageant competitor Sukoluhle Sibanda launched the project by handing out rice and bread to widows and disabled people at Ga-Mothapo Village recently.

“The people call themselves ‘Bahludi Kate Jeso’ and it was a great experience putting smiles on people’s faces and making them feel good,” she explained.

The charity project forms part of Sukoluhle’s quest to win the Mini Miss RSA of which she is a finalist. Sukoluhle says if she wins, she looks forward to going back to the village and giving back to the community. “As Maya Angelou once said ‘People will forget what you did for them, people will forget what you said to them but they will never forget how you made them feel’,” she said.

Sukoluhle will compete in the Mini Miss RSA competition from 5 to 8 October.
