The finalists for Miss Limpopo/Miss Limpopo Teen 2016 were announced on Saturday after the interviews were held at House of Asante Spa.
The final contestants for the title of Miss Limpopo Teen 2016 are Tshego Mogashoa from Bela-Bela, Tlou Dinyake, Tamryn Terblanche, Mahlako Tau, Lesego Matheba, Katlego Seleka, Kabelo Lekgoathi, Priscilla Ramalatsa and Thato Matenchi, all from Polokwane and Jessica Tsetsewa from Lephalale
The Miss Limpopo 2016 finalists are Mmabatho Dibakwane (final year BCom Economics,) and Caroline Mashala (BCompt Accounting) both from the University of Limpopo, Shalati Masia (third year BCompt Accounting), Lerato Sehlake (BSc Mining Engineering), Portia Tshabalala (third year year BCom) and Paseka Khosa (final year BSc Hons Mining Engineering) all from the University of the Witwatersrand, Kahini Govender, educator from Lord Milner School at Settlers, Rosette Magapa, intern at Limpopo Economic Development, Environment and Tourism, Naledi Koosan, who is taking a gap year and Makhubele Vukosi, BCom Law student from Midrand Graduate Institute.
The gala event will be held on 3 December at Meropa Casino & Entertainment World when the winners of these two coveted titles and their runners up will be announced.
Miss Limpopo Trust Chairperson, Matlakala Bopape said this year’s pageant will be bigger and better than ever before. Bopape explained that all previous Miss Limpopo and Miss Limpopo Teen winners outdid themselves by reaching out to the community and continue their community commitments even after their year of duties expired. She expressed pride in the hard work the contestants had put into their community work.
A workshop for the finalists will be held this Saturday and an administration project discussion will be held.
