Top Gr 12 learners treated to lunch with district director

The learners were treated to a lunch to serve as motivation for them to work hard and achieve great results in their exams.

LIMPOPO – Twenty top two Gr 12 learners from each school in the Maune circuit were invited to the Maune Stars Lunch with Director Mothemane, Capricorn District Director and Maune circuit Manager, Norman Maswanganyi recently.

Mothemane said the learners should respect and work with their teachers throughout the exam period.

He further said teachers should ensure learners spend their weekends at school and ensure they prepare them socially.

“We urge our communities, tavern owners and church leaders to give our children time to study and prepare for the examinations,” he pleaded.

“Attending school in rural villages cannot stop us from producing good results and top learners who will represent us nationally,” he continued.

Maswanganyi said the purpose of the lunch was to motivate and encourage the learners to put a lot of their effort into their studies.

He said he’s not satisfied with his circuit’s previous matric pass rate when compared with other districts, it shows that they still have a lot of work to do.

“We cannot say we’re doing better while we’re still struggling to produce a 100% pass rate. We are happy that this year our teacher formation social partners did not go on any strikes or any disengagements,” he says.
