The outstanding learners of Laerskool Pietersburg-Noord Primary were recently honoured for their academic and sport achievements at a special award ceremony.
Lungile Hlengwane is the senior athlete and the senior sport boy of the year. Moloko Mokgawa is the senior girls athlete of the year, the best netball player of the year and the overall best sport girl of the year.
POLOKWANE – Noordskool Principal, Attie Visagie, congratulated the learners, their parents, and the school personnel with a special message.
“After a blessed year, it comes from my heart when I say thank you and congratulations to every staff member, parent, and every learner at Noordskool.
“Congratulations to every learner on their exceptional performances. You all worked hard throughout the year and deserve to reap the rewards.
May you all have a blessed festive season and may 2017 be a year filled with precious moments and lovely memories. Our sincere and respectful gratitude goes to our Heavenly Father, without whom we as a school could not have achieved these heights. Michelle Kayser is the u/13B netball player of the year.
Lungile Hlugwane (head boy) is awarded the sports boy of the year for his performance in the Limpopo rugby team for boys u/13.
Tshepiso Mokoena is the back line rugby player of the year while Malekela Malothane is the best forward rugby player of the year. Both boys played in the first team.
Leishen Harmse is one of the top academic achievers for Gr 7 and the recipient of a 100% school attendance certificate.
Refilwe Matsemosa is the u/11A netball player of the year.
Moloko Mokgawa is one of the Gr 7 top achievers of the year. She won the SA Championship Participation Award along with other awards for sport girl of the year, netball player of the year, and athlete of the year.
Bonnie Komape is the u/12A netball player of the year.

Ian Duvenhage is the rugby player of the year. He played for the first team.
Theko Montjane is the u/10 rugby player of the year and the u/10 forward rugby player of the year.
Neo Maraka and Sheldon Vorster share the Best Common Knowledge Award.
Riaan Keyser is the best u/10 back line ruby player.
Onthatile Molepo receives the u/13A netball player of the year award.
Kearebetswe Tlagadi is one of the top achievers in Gr 7.
Chanelle Lyle (head girl) is the Dux Learner of the Year.
Divine Moage is the best forward rugby player while Naledi Masesane is the best back line rugby player. Both played for the second rugby team.
The top achievers in Gr 7 are Karabo Masemola, Kearabetswe Tlagadi, Onthatile Molepo, Chanelle Lyle, Merah Berhane, and Bondo Moleka.
Onthatile Molepo is one of the top Gr 7 achievers. She also won the subject award for natural science.
Bonolo Maleka is the winner of several rewards including the Top 10 academic achiever for Gr 7, subject awards for mathematics and economic management sciences, and 100% school attendance four years in a row.
Karabo Masemola (deputy head boy) got a certificate and trophy for the top academic achievers award. He was also named the Noordjie Boy of the Year.
Thato Hams is the top academic achiever and the best u/11 forward rugby player.
Masego Kgopa receives the u/11B netball player of the year award.
