10. Ongeluk eis ma (31)

Aneke Myburgh was vermoor op Maandag 15 Augustus op pad om haar seun Corinus (gr. 5) by die CVO-skool op Vivo te gaan aflaai. Haar kar het gerol en sy was uit die voertuig geslinger. Nooddienste het Aneke op die toneel dood verklaar.
9. Man dies after Haenertsburg pub assault

Paul Geldenhuys was assaulted at a pub in Haenertsburg earlier in the year. He suffered severe injuries to his face and ribs, resulting in an injury to one of his lungs and later died in hospital. At the time, Provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronél Otto confirmed an investigation into an assault case.
8. DOUBLE SHOOTING: Names of victims released

Tebogo Maenetja (24) and John Rangenga (37) were identified as the two bodies that were removed from a vehicle, following a double shooting on Biccard Street on 11 February.
It was suspected an argument ensued between the two, however. provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronél Otto said the relationship between the victims had not been determined at the time.

6. 2 killed in N1 South accident

A collision between a truck and a sedan on the N1 between Mokopane and Mookgophong claimed two lives on 18 July.
“Two passengers traveling in the car died on the scene,” confirmed Kagiso Mootane, Departmental Spokesperson for the Department of Traffic.
5. Boy (6) lands up in hospital after bullying incident

A six-year-old boy at the hands of a seven-year-old bully almost drowned in a stream in Ladanna on Tuesday. According to Bertie and Annatjie Pieterse, six-year-old JJ’s parents, when their son did not arrive home from school at the usual time on Tuesday, they became concerned and started contacting his friends to find him.

4. UPDATE: police on scene retrieving body of missing Mokopane learner

Katlego, a 9-year-old learner at Mokopane Primary School, was first reported missing on 21 May.
The suspect revealed that he threw the body from a bridge into a shallow river on the Marken road between Mahwelereng and Lephalale in the Tinmines policing area.
3. Verdagtes vasgetrek na erge plaasaanval

Nico Muller (68) en sy vrou Annetjie (66) was 10 Januarie deur drie gewapende verdagtes op hulle plaas van oor die 14 jaar, Klip-put, sowat 23 km buite Mookgophong oorval.
AO George Ledwaba, woordvoerder van die Mookgophong polisie, sê die verdagtes het 12 Januarie in die Mookgophong Landroshof verskyn en die saak was uitgestel tot 18 Januarie waar hulle in die streekhof van die Mokopane Landroshof sal verskyn.

2. Patient shares his nightmare at provincial hospital

Wessie van der Westhuizen (66) from Roodepoort smallholdings was admitted to the Pietersburg Provincial Hospital after he suffered a stroke that left him paralysed on the left side, and he says your worst nightmare could not compare to the horrible service in the hospital’s ward M.

1. UPDATE: possible 2nd accused in kidnapping case

A second accused in the Kidnapping case of 29-year-old Berdine Jordaan was added after she appeared before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 1 August on charges of perjury, kidnapping and defeating the ends of justice.

Miliswa, a Gr 6 learner at Pietersburg Comprehensive School (PCS), died in Mediclinic Limpopo on 19 May, after she was electrocuted at a municipal bus terminal next to her school in Grobler Street while waiting for her transport to arrive.

Taxi driver search party locates missing man
Gerrie Kachelhoffer, the brother of local doctor, Thys Kachelhoffer, disappeared shortly after 12:00 on 20 June after dropping off workers at a site he was working at in Lebowakgomo. Taxi drivers worked together to find the 41-year-old Pretoria resident who was reported missing near Polokwane.
